this height before the rains set-in.
The following Questions suggest themselves with reference to the proposed works as those upon which it would be of importance to obtain a professional opinion.
1. The best means of making the bed of the Reservoir watertight should it be found necessary to adopt artificial measures, whether by the use of Concrete, Cement or Puddle? 2. In the event of solid rock being met with in part of the Puddle Trench, the depth to which it would be advisable to cut out the rock to form a Bed for the Puddle or Concrete backing? 3. The best means of making good ground under the permanent Bye wash, it being necessary to excavate to a depth of 15 feet above the bed of the reservoir to lay the waste Culvert and form the temporary Waste Weir?
